Summary
Ji-seon Kim quit her job as a physical therapist and moved back in with her father after finding it increasingly difficult to save while living in Seoul. With her father providing the home and covering most household costs, and unemployment benefits providing temporary income, she says she is now saving more each month than when she was working.
Ji-seon now spends six to seven hours a day on household tasks, including cooking, cleaning and helping care for her father. She is also learning video editing and building a YouTube channel as she figures out her next step.
This Money Mind episode looks at Ji-seon's finances, the trade-offs of becoming a "full-time child" and why she says the arrangement is only temporary.
